"HB-FB's" and "Firebirds"

These are available with a 2-week or less lead time. I have the hotter spec bobbins pre-wound and often the necessary parts on hand to configure them to order, but for some options a little extra time is required.

Available as HB-FB in PAF size baseplates and covers, or in Firebird/Mini-HB size.

All share the same vintage spec Firebird bobbins and vertical bar magnets. These are available in graduated output levels from vintage to hotter. My preferred hotter specs use a thicker steel plate under the bobbins to couple the coils. These thicker plates keep the overall output level about the same as vintage and while working with the slightly hotter coils to fatten up the mids, sweeten the treble, and get a little more snap and spank in the bass. Priced individually to mix and match.
