Vintage rewinds are done on a case-by-case basis. I want to measure and document your broken vintage pickup as much as you want it repaired, and I try to keep the rewind rate very fair to facilitate a mutually beneficially situation. My protocol with rewinds is to always be minimally invasive if a repair is possible and to authentically replicate the original coil by using the correct wire type, coil shape and geometry, and a very exact turn count when a rewind is necessary. I will rewind Peter Florance/Voodoo pickups, but encourage you to seek out the original winder of faulty boutique pickups if they are still around. I don't have time to rewind mass produced modern pickups.
