60’s Silvertone 1446 neck, resprayed Harmony Rocket body. I got this maybe 15 years ago off Con-Tiki on the Offset Guitars forum. He replaced the rosewood fretboard with an excellent 9.5” radius slab of lightly grained ebony with 25.5” scale. Neato brass side dot markers, minimalist fretboard markers at 5th and 12th.

It had been cut earlier in its life for a PAF in the neck position, but patched when it was sprayed a close black sparkle to the 1446, but not quite a perfect match. Lots of f-hole wear reveals the Rocket cherry burst under the black.

i got it before dead/affordable goldfoils were a thing, kind of right at the Jack White into Black Keys peak. I cut it for dogear P-90’s and eventually widened the neck route a little to accommodate the 6k7 Alnico 4 PAF under dogear cover. Bridge pickup is a nice grease and grit Alnico 4 P-90/Mosrite hybrid deal, big phillips head 6-32 pole pieces.

I love this thing and it’s been on the do-not-sell list for a long time. As I’m getting a little older it seems like the right time to find the right person to love it as much as I do. Kind of drips with rock and roll attitude, set up as my ultimate ska/rocksteady guitar. Watch the Instagram noodles if you dare.
